Therapeutic Story Telling
& The Tapestry of Discipline -
 2 workshops, one weekend
for parents, childcare workers, counsellors therapists....

Saturday 14th April
9am to 5pm
Therapeutic Storytelling
Techniques for writing healing (‘medicinal’) stories for children are shared
& the therapeutic use of metaphor is explored. 
Using a story making framework, the participants are guided create their
own stories addressing a range of challenging situations with children.
                           
Sunday 15th April
9am to 4pm
Tapestry of Discipline
Discipline is respected and addressed as an art form-
by firstly following threads such as rhythm & consistency;
the adult’s 'inner life'; 
and the understanding & expectations of different ages & stages. 
Secondly, the creative ‘weft’ threads are explored through playing games,
  humour, conscious& creative speech and the use of songs and rhymes -
the magic power of the pied-piper

SUSAN PERROW (M Ed) has an extensive background (30 years) in storytelling,
early childhood education, teacher training, parent education & parent counselling.
She has been an international lecturer since 1994- running courses & workshops worldwide.
In 2008 Susan published a Resource book 'Healing Stories for Challenging behaviour', she has just published her new
book Therapeutic Storytelling;101 Healing Stories for Children”,
which will be available to purchase at workshops.

Registration 8.30-9am
Cost €70 (ISKA members €50)
